Account & settings

Manage your profile, password, email verification and subscription — everything that lives under Settings in your dashboard.

Your profile

Open Settings in the dashboard to see the email you signed up with and to update your display name — change it and save.

If you share the account with others, whether you’re an owner or a member is shown on the Team page. Owners look after billing and teammates; members manage monitors and alerts. See Team & members for the full picture.

Password

Changing your password

From Settings, enter your current password and a new one. New passwords must be at least 8 characters long.

Note

For your security, changing your password signs out your other sessions. You’ll stay signed in where you are, but you’ll need to sign in again on your other devices.

Forgot your password?

If you can’t sign in, use Forgot password on the login page. Moonitor emails you a reset link so you can set a new password without needing the old one.

Email verification

A verified email is required when you sign up, and it’s what allows email alerts to be delivered. Your sign-up email is your first, pre-verified alert contact, so you’re ready to receive notifications from day one.

Tip

Verifying your email is the single thing that makes email alerts work. If notifications aren’t arriving, confirming your address is the first thing to check.

Plan & billing

Your current plan is shown in the dashboard. To upgrade, downgrade, view invoices or cancel, head to Billing. For a full walkthrough of plan limits and how billing works, see the Plans & billing guide.

Sign out

You can sign out at any time from the sidebar.

Danger zone — delete account

Deleting your account is permanent. It removes your account along with all of your monitors, check history and status pages.

  1. 1

    Open the danger zone

Scroll to the bottom of Settings to find the delete account option.

  2. 2

    Confirm by typing DELETE

You’re asked to type “DELETE” to confirm — this prevents accidental deletion.

Heads up

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Your monitors, check history and status pages are erased for good. If you only want to stop paying, downgrade or cancel under Billing instead.
